The Funeral of an Orange
 2021

Moving image, Single-channel Video
Duration: 07:46

This work delves into my personal memories of the pandemic. Leaving the place where my trauma began, I sought evidence to validate my experiences. The film, a personal narrative, begins with the image of a rotting orange and unfolds the story from a unique perspective, directed at the viewer sitting across from me. In erasing my identity, I transform the memories into a part of the collective consciousness. The film explores themes of humor, myth, trauma, memory, absence, hope, despair, and the dignity of death.
